Raise taxes by X with no reduction in Happiness.
How to maximize your gold production.Edit
If we let
G = Gold Production
H = Happiness
p = Population
P = Population Limit
T = Tax Rate
t = Theater Bonus
Then we can calculate our Gold Production, Population, and Happiness with the following equations
G = (T/100)*p
p = (H/100)*P
H = 100-T+t or H/100 = 1-(T/100)+(t/100)
Or combined we have G = (P/10,000)*((100+t)*T-T^2)
From this we can find that our maximum gold production is when we set our tax rate equal to 50+t/2, and it will increase linearly with an increase to our population limit. And it is important to note that if we increase our tax rate above this limit of 50+t/2 we will both decrease our gold production and our population.
If we need a higher population, to continue training, we can decrease the tax rate to raise up our population, then we can raise our tax rate back up after we started them training, because there is no problem with having a negative population other than not being able to add any more troops the queued list.
