"The Wall protects your City from attackers. Keep upgrading to strengthen your defenses."
Upon selecting the wall, there are two tabs at the top of the screen, "Details" and "Defense." Under "Defense" you can choose to have your troops defend your cities at all times or hide within your city, by choosing "Defend Mode" or "Evade Mode" respectively. It is recommended to keep your troops hidden within your walls a majority of the time, until you choose to defend against a specific attacker. This prevents unwanted loss of troops while you are away.
As of v4.4 there is now a Custom Defense Mode where you can set up a select General, Dragon and Troops to defend your city. This defense option is similar to a march in size and is based off of the generals troop count option. This setup DOES NOT automatically refill lost troops like marches however,, and your Dragon can be injured to a point it will drop from this defense team. If troops or the dragon is lost from this unit you will need to go in and manually reinsert them.
